I haven’t assembled a LEGO set in years so I’m not a frequent constructor or collector. This tank model is simply something dearest to me because of my childhood and its relation to WW2 and I didn’t find any other LEGO models easily.
I found the instructions easy to follow without mistakes and I love the way the end result looks, with its moving parts, silhouette and stickers. It took me around 3 days to assemble it, which wasn’t due to lack of time or difficulty following the steps, but rather the times I found myself stuck trying to get the pieces to fit.
I’m under the impression that pieces aren’t accurately dimensioned, this meant I took care to place them as correctly as possible, and it wasn’t entirely satisfying to put some together because of that. When I got to the threads I had to fit bars through hollow tubes (I don’t know the exact name of the piece), which most of the time didn’t have the right diameter. Fitting the 10 bars in total took almost a day, as I took frequent breaks because my fingers were hurting a lot from pushing. I resorted to warm water and other surfaces to make them fit. Nothing broke despite the stress but it wasn’t satisfying and my fingers didn’t like it for two days.
Then when I got to the wheels, once again I had pieces that didn’t fit at all, the dimensions were off and I had to resort to a file to carefully reduce the surface, which I’m aware could have messed up the result. I was patient and careful with the 2 pieces I needed to file and both ended up fitting well.
Overall the assembly process started well, but became frustrating mid-way through it when I got to the threads and wheels. However, I’m very happy with the end result. I have the tank next to me in my desk. I love looking at it and I will do so for many years to come, which makes the assembly process feel like a fading memory. I haven’t seen any other Panzer II LEGO model as easy to afford and build as this one, and while the assembly was frustrating at times I understand that making precision pieces can be difficult and costly, for this price and the lack of other options I found this purchase satisfactory.
If you care more about the end result and finishing the set, I easily recommend it. But if you prefer a pleasant assembly experience over collecting the finished set I think I wouldn’t recommend it based on the experience I had.
I’d also like to add that the pieces arrived soon and before the instructions were delivered by email. However, a quick email with my order number notifying that I hadn’t received the instructions rapidly granted them to me. So, if the model arrives and you can’t find the instructions I recommend writing an email to quickly solve it.

Hi Marco,
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback. We’re delighted that you are pleased with the finished Panzer II. However, we’re sorry about the overly tight bars. This model came from an earlier production batch. Since then, we have solved the bar-and-tube tolerance issue. Today, we are using Gobricks for most of our sets.
We also apologise that the instructions were not initially received. Most of our current tank sets now include a printed instruction booklet rather than relying solely on a PDF sent by email.
Thank you again for your patience and honest feedback.

Great job !!!!

Nice model. Great running track, very securely mounted. Almost no interior though, unless you count a small section of driveshaft. Turret relies on a partially assembled plate to create the slope (push the plate down only over the first row of studs), but even this is fairly secure.
