Description
Zis-5 was the workhorse of the Soviet armed forces from the beginning of Operation Barbarossa to the end of the war. It has been used on all fronts as cargo transporter, a light artillery tractor, troops carrier (25 soldiers could seat in the rear body). ZIS-5 has also served as base for many special trucks, like refuellers, field workshops, ambulances, portee guns or AA platforms, where it was greatly appreciated for its remarkably simple and reliable construction. A total of 104,200 of those trucks were produced.
At the end of 1941 the shortage of raw materials forced to simplifying the structure of ZIS-5, and the most noticeable change was replacing the round, stamped wings with flat, bend ones.

Hi thanks for the feedback. The wheels should be able to spin freely. Maybe you can send us a photo so we can help with your building?
